Technical games

Basic characteristics

A technical game is a game of chance operated through a technical device directly operated by the bettor. A technical game is understood in particular as a roller game, electromechanical roulette and electromechanical dice.

The technical game can only be played in the game area.

A technical device is a functionally indivisible and program-controlled mechanical, electromechanical, electronic or other similar technical device directly operated by the bettor.

A technical device also means a device that, together with the server, forms a functionally indivisible whole with a predetermined number of terminal devices directly operated by the bettor, when the terminal device is not functional when disconnected from the server and cannot be used independently. The server must be located on the territory of a member state of the European Union or a state that is a contracting party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

For the purposes of running a technical game as an internet (online) game, a technical device means a server to which individual bettors connect at any time via the Internet with an independent device that does not form an indivisible whole with the server.
